Verification FAQ

Verification helps us check that an advertiser is an adult and that their identity document and selfie belong to the same person. An approved profile can display a verified badge. Your public stage name does not need to match the legal name on your ID.

The document chooser shows the documents accepted in your market. Usually these are a national ID card, passport or driving licence. A passport needs its photo page; cards need both sides. Use a valid document with your photo and date of birth.

Your photos are sent securely to our verification system. Depending on your market, an automated service may check photo quality, read document details and compare the ID photo with your selfies. A member of our team handles uncertain results. You may receive a request for clearer photos before verification can continue.

Your ID and selfies never appear on your public profile. Authorised staff can access them for verification. With your consent, automated checks use OpenRouter and eligible model providers, which may process the photos outside your country. Requests are restricted to providers offering zero data retention and disallowing training on the submitted data. We do not upload your documents to the public WordPress media library.

The verification system keeps your submitted photos, the review history and extracted identity details such as your legal name, date of birth and nationality. Automated findings store only the last four characters of a document number. Images sent for automated checks are resized and stripped of location metadata. Contact our support team for information about retention or to request access, correction or deletion under the applicable privacy policy.

Yes. Choose “Upload a photo instead” on a capture screen. Use a clear JPG, PNG or WebP photo. Camera permission is optional. Uploaded selfies can require a human review. Pose photos help our reviewers check consistency; they are not certified biometric liveness testing.

Automated checks may return while you are on the page. Other submissions need a member of our team, so timing depends on the queue. You can leave the page after submission and return to check your status. We do not promise an instant result.

Follow the message on your verification page to replace the requested photos. If you disagree with a result, contact our support team and ask for a human review. An automated result is not your only route to verification.

Photos you select stay in this browser tab until you submit. Closing or reloading before submission means you may need to select them again. Once you see the submission confirmation, the verification system has received them securely.

If verification expires, return to the verification page and submit a fresh set of photos.
